It's All About Lip Colour

The lip products in the picture have made it into my beauty bag for my trip to Paris and Verailles. I think it is essential to pack the right lip colour if you go on vacation. They should suit you whatever you wear and whatever the occassion. And never leave without a good lip balm. Chapped lips just hurt and do not look very charming or kissable.

So let me tell you a little bit about my lippy choices...

From left to right

Crazy Rumors Balms are by far the best lip balms. They are all natural and have a huge range of incredibly yummy flavours. In every purse, in my car, in my jackets and so basically everywhere you can find at least one of these super soothing balms. In this picture you can see Orange Bergamot, one of the tea flavour collection. I also have Spiced Chai, Apple Spice, Cola, Ginger Ale, Mystery Flavour, Raspberry Sherbet and Grape Bubble (the last three are my favourites). As you can see they are highly addictive - in a healthy way for your lips. (I have ordered mine at www.supersmoocher.com. They cost around 4,50 €)

The Rouge Dior Lipstick in Tourbillon Pink (651) is very creamy, smells powdery and the colour is so beautiful and romantic. For me it is the perfect all day colour, especially when I am still pretty pale.

The Clinique Chubby Stick is fantastic. It leaves your lips soft and coloured - like a light lipstick. The range of colours is very nice, too. I always can't decide which one I like best, because it depends on my mood and the season. For this trip I have chosen Mega Melon, which is kind of similar to the Dior above.

Lancôme Colour Fever Gloss fuschia koh lan (331) smells great and the texture is lovely beacuse it is not sticky at all. I have just used it a few times and it is also the first time I have tried this shade. But I am very happy with it so far.

Guerlain Terracotta Moisturising Gloss tango (09) leaves the lips with the right amount of red for a sexy but also romantic look. Depends on the rest of your make-up. The texture is soft and creamy and it has a sweet, delicate smell.

I have so many memories of Clinique's Almost Lipstick in black honey that I tend to get nostalgic when I wear it. My big sister used to wear it as a teenager in the 90s when it was launched and I was always so fascinated by it. The bold dark colour of the texture itself leaves a dark but subtle cherry tone on the lips – mysterious and sophisticated. As soon as I was old enough to wear a sexy colour like black honey I stole my sister's and stayed loyal to it ever since.  It isn't available in Germany anymore so I have to buy it on trips abroad, but right now Clinique sells them as a limited edition. The smell is similar to the Chubby Stick - pretty neutral - like all Clinique products.

Hope you like my choice of lipsticks and colours. What's the lipstick you would never leave behind on a trip?
