In the summer I just love it shiny and glossy and in my opinion mat products are more autumn material. But recently I received the information about the Lancôme Midnight Roses Look for Autumn/Winter 2012 and the Vernis In Love Top Coat Mat is part of it. As the summer hasn't said goodbye yet and the Midnight Roses collection launches in August I combined the top coat mat with a tropical colour – For this I chose the Essie nail polish in Tart Deco. I think the effect looks great and really is something different for summer. By the way, the Midnight Roses collection is so fabulous! I can't wait to show it to you ASAP. And it changed my mind about mat belonging to autumn/winter only, too.
Back to the nails! First I applied two layers of the Essie nail polish. I always apply two as I think the colour looks more even and brighter that way. I do that with every coloured nail varnish.
After letting the layers dry, I applied the Lancôme Vernis In Love Top Coat Mat in 030 Givre Magique. At first it looks glossy but then the mat effect pops in. Doesn't it look great? I am totally in love with it!
With the Lancôme Top Coat Mat you can give every nail polish of yours a mat touch. It's perfect when you are not sure if you like the effect or/and when you want to have it with many colours without spending that much money for buying a lot mat coloured nail varnishes.
The Lancôme Vernis In Love Top Coat Mat retails in Germany in August 2012 at around 14,95 €.
Lancôme Germany, thank you so, so much for sending me this terrific top coat! I love it!
